The Morso 1410 Standard Squirrel is the ideal stove for the smaller room. The Morso Squirrel is the ideal narrowboat stove because it is high quality, small, and can come with a backboiler.
The Squirrel stove is all cast iron, it's ash pan and grate make for easy cleaning whilst the flat top is an ideal cook surface (especially useful for narrowboat owners).
You notice the quality of this stove when you use the doors and use the handles: they feel really solid. The Morso Squirrel will burn overnight and can be run on wood or coal. The primary air supply (the vent at the bottom) is used when burning coal and when lighting the fire. When burning wood in the Squirrel once the fire is lit you close the primary air vent and regulate the fire using the secondary air supply (the vent at the top) as wood burns most efficiently when it is supplied with air from above.
The Squirrel is also available as the higher output 6kW Cleanheat Squirrel which is also a multi fuel stove. This version features a preheated secondary air supply which makes for more efficient combustion of wood, hence the higher heat output.
